In the textile and dyehouses, additives are used to give different properties and provide effective performance. Performance additives can be divided into four groups; leveling agents, dispersing agents, anti-phenolic yellowing agents and anti-microbial agents. Leveling agents are used to optimize the particle size distribution of paints. In addition, a dispersing agent is used to minimize irregular dyeing processes. Anti-phenolic yellowing agents protect textiles against yellowing in thermal and storage conditions. Anti-microbial agents are quaternary ammonium salt polymers, contribute biocidal effects in textile applications. Latro offers silane quat polymers, one of the antimicrobial agents, as a solution in textile applications.
